Hiatus

Hi folks! Craig here. As you’ve no doubt discerned, I simply have not had time to update the site these past few months, and…well, I don’t anticipate that changing anytime soon, so the site is going on hiatus.

Time is, regrettably, limited. Right now I’m developing two(!) games in addition to holding down an unrelated full-time job and doing my level best to have something resembling a social life. As much as I’ve enjoyed publicizing all the little indie gems to come down the pike these past seven years, I’m just not sure it’s sustainable for me anymore.

Maybe that’ll change sometime in the future; maybe it won’t. But either way, I want this site to remain online as a testament to the indie spirit (and as a resource for folks who might want to see all the neat little games I dug up!) If things change and I have time to get back to posting here, you’ll be the first to know. But for now: it’s hiatus.

    Hi Craig,

I always enjoyed your posts, so it’s sad to see this. But I understand all too well, finding time is always difficult.

I wish you the best of luck with your games (2, really???), you certainly deserve it.

    Koen.

Thanks so much for everything Craig! I still check this site pretty much daily and it has led me to sooo many awesome games. I’m so excited to see what you’re working on right now. I hope the site can be active again someday, but for now I’ll see you on Twitter! You rock!

I no doubt missed this, but what two games are you working on?

I believe Craig was referring to the remake of Telepath Tactics (with a new engine that will allow him to properly implement things which weren’t working well in Flash- you can read more about this in recent Kickstarter updates) and also “True Messiah” the board game which was funded on KS.

Ah, ft job, indie deving and social life!

This is the problem I’ve had now doing the same thing for a year and a half, and it’s getting kind of old. I feel much older, because working on creating games time flies, and since time speeds up I’m not 29 years old instead of 26 years old!

I need to go out on weekends, so I’m working on taking pt instead, moving in with a roommate and charging rent to the credit card for a year. Gotta find cheap ways to do absolutely everything if you want that extra time to keep doing what you love on that lower level, it’s times like this I wish I was born wealthy!

That’s its been a year, time to come back maybe?

There’s only rpgwatch and sometimes indie games + for our rpg indies news needs, so do a patreon or something and come back ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Andrzej! I have a post planned for tomorrow; I think you’ll enjoy it. ๐Ÿ™‚
